Teardrops of a Sad Frog

I'm just a little frog, with a heavy heart
Was ready for the day, right from the start
But then the news hit, like a bolt from the blue
Class is canceled, what's a frog to do?

Teardrops falling, from my bulging eyes
Feeling so low, can't even disguise
The disappointment, the sorrow inside
Class is canceled, I just want to hide

I had my books ready, my pencils too
Excited to learn, something shiny and new
But now I'm stuck here, with nothing to do

I know it's not forever, just a temporary pain
But in this moment, it feels like a stain
On my little frog heart, so full of rain

Tomorrow's a new day, I'll try to be strong
