Lazy Day Blues

Laying on the couch, feet up high
Black socks on, no need to try
TV's on, faces unknown
In this living room, I'm all alone

It's a lazy day, got the blues
Nothing to do, just paying my dues
Channel surfing, time ticks away
In my own world, I'm here to stay

People come and go on the screen
But I don't care, I'm living my dream
Comfort is key, no need to move
Just me and my thoughts, nothing to prove

Sometimes I wonder, is this all there is?
But then I remember, ignorance is bliss
I'll take my rest, in my own space
No need to worry, no need to race

The day may pass, but I don't mind
In this moment, I'm doing just fine
My feet are warm, my mind at ease
In my lazy day, I find my peace

So I'll stay right here, in my lazy day blues
Until the world outside, starts making news
But for now, I'm content and free
Just me, my socks, and the TV
